This mid-century bungalow is situated on a lagoon in San Francisco Bay. The clients wanted to simplify the detailing and introduce a calmness to the design. Working with local interior designer Candace Killman, we created calming elements in many rooms throughout the house. The master bath was one focus, with our first “curbless” shower and venetian plaster interior. The family/music room benefitted from a redesign of the fireplace using a facing of cold-rolled raw steel plate with stepping “tansu” style cabinets for music and electronic components at either side.
This project was undertaken while David was Senior Design Associate at Polsky Architects in Larkspur.
