Located near Sun Valley, this lodge home client wanted to create two distinctive building forms that each oriented to the ski slopes, the sun and togther created a courtyard for the property. We have a garage/guest wing and the main family wing with shared and adult spaces below and kid’s spaces above. Extreme seasonal weather and heavy snow loads required the use of triple-layer roofs with “boston” venting. A south-facing outdoor deck that extends out from under the roof gives the project a pleasant summer face.
